this week has it's ups and downs, but mostly ups :)
this week felt like eternity, had so many lectures and tutorials throughout the week.. almost went bonkers.
monday: nothing much, had to knock down 50 in the morning coz our bunk had the presence of dust -.- then it was practical lessons all the way
tuesday: it was intravenous infusion (IV) day.. needles, blood, and more blood. yup.. this time it was quite nerve-wrecking.. coz I had to perform 2 successful jabs to make up for the one I missed the week b4.. so I had to poke my buddy many times.. oops. It was a one shot kill for the first jab on my buddy's right arm, but for the 2nd shot, the vein on his left arm decided to play hide-and-seek and unfortunately, I had to search for the vein moving the needle around the hand, and guess what, I couldn't locate the stubborn vein.. so I had to find another victim(who was thankfully veiny) and completed my 2nd jab..
then it was my turn to get shot at; somehow, my buddy not only located my vein, but he located my muscle or tissue or dunnowhat as well. It was not really the most painful jab I've received so far.... I ALMOST DIED of pain.. haha..
And we received even better news after the session, next week, we would be dealing wif LARGER NEEDLES, YAKULT STRAW SIZE. The ones I'm using are already huge, toothpick thickness.. I'M SO GONNA DIE NEXT WEEK!
wednesday: lectures, tutorials, blah blah blah.. BUT, we got to book out today and loiter around Singapore for 4 hrs. So we decided to hang out at north point's arcade and LJS.. it was kinda fun in contrast to the boring day we had
thurs: practicals(almost died of boredom), slept steathily throughout :) saving energy to mug at night for a very impt test the next day
FRI: which is today. It was lectures in the morning, and a PRACTICAL TEST in the afternoon. The test covered treatment for fractures, burns, wounds, and arresting of haemorrhage for every corner of the body..yeah. my bunk mates and I practised with every bandage we could lay our hands on for like 5 hrs non-stop on thurs, it was like mugging for A levels all over again, or even harder..what made things worse was I didn't know anything.. HAR HAR.. coz I practically missed 90% of what was coming out due to the fever I had last week. YUP.. so I was staring at my friends wif my jaw almost touching the ground when they were practising coz I had no clue what was going on, and I told myself I was gonna fail.
Thank God I passed.. haha.. by a stroke of luck. dunno how also..
yeah.. then we booked out. LAST platoon to book out. coz we threw biohazard(bloody objects) stuff into the normal thrash bag, when it was supposed to be at the biohazard thrash bag. so for that, we had to book out half an hour after the 1st platoon booked out, which sucked.
then I got a shock when I got home. forgot to tell you that I had been eating like a pig this week, coz we were getting canteen breaks like we didn't have enuf of it.. yup so I'm like eating 5 full meals a day [ breakfast, canteen, lunch, canteen, dinner ]plus the whole chunk of junk I gobbled down during nights out on wed.. bug GUESS WHAT, I STEPPED ONTO THE WEIGHING MACHINE JUST NOW AND.... I LOST 2 KG... wth.. haha.. mircale from GOD :):):):):):):):)
