today was just another day at SAFTI MI, for the friggin parade rehearsal..
but today was different :) I got an excuse from the doctor for one day :):) so i was practically slacking at the spectator stands, sleeping through the whole day :)
finally found someone from my bunk who watched the russel peters video... argh, it seems like 2 different worlds in my camp, those who watched it and those who didn't.. those slow pokes haha.. yeah so it was just the two of us re-enacting the whole friggin video! haha.. but it was fun and hilarious.. sigh.. i think i watched it like 4 times already! haha..
so glad that my friend lent me his whole LOST video downloads.. heehee.. gonna spend the next week watching LOST, away from DOTA :'( heh
yup, this fri's the DAY! SAF DAY!, then I'll be looking forward to my new camp at sembawang naval base.. YAY! hope it's gonna be great over there!

have been sleeping from morning to night to morning to night to morning to night.. y can't they give us something to do in camp.. lol.. dunno how i'm gonna adjust to the lifestyle in navy.. no more sleeping, no more risk games in the afternoon, no more soccer in the morning, no more freedoommm...
but it's gonna be fun :)

yesterday's parade rehearsal reached a scorching 35 degree celsius, yet it felt like it was raining, the sounds of soldiers dropping to the ground one by one like raindrops "Kaplonk ! Ka plooonk!" .. cries for "MEDIC!" could be heard throughout the massive parade square at SAFTI MI.. 5 medics can we seen racing across to pick up the fallen soldier, bringing him to the side for Intravenous Infusion (i.e. Drip) my favourite :)
sirens could be heard from a distance away, fortunately not those of the ambulance, just the camp's siren stating CAT 2, which indicates extremely hot weather and all activity has to be stopped.. and we just stood there embracing the onslaught of the sun's rays helplessly.. the parade went on..
at least I'm dark-skinned now :)
gonna meet up wif my classmates today for a movie, and perhaps Lan.. if there's time.
gonna get my SAF pay very soon! and my pay from my parents for babysitting my siblings wif lots of piano lessons.. argh.

these few days were really extreme..
extremely slack or extremely tiring
booked in on Monday morning instead of Sunday Night haha! tt's as good as it can get!.. anyway, all of us were made to shift huge chunks of wood supposedly from the campfire the night b4.. from one training shack to another, which was abt 400m away.. yeah but we gotta slack the whole afternoon, and we were allowed to go home and book at in the same night :)
tues was the parade rehearsal.. this rehearsal was the most gruelling ever la.. started at 9 and ended at 5.. except for the lunch break, we were under the sun standing still for hours.. all of us became redder than lobsters wif ugly tan lines on our forehead due to our beret haha. and as the temperature was rather mother hot, a few ppl just collapsed on the parade square, which was quite freaky actually..first time witnessing someone fainting
wed, which is today.. booked in at 0730.. immediately plonked myself on the bed and knocked out, just to get woken up by shouts from staff sgt amin.. the guy in charge of the 24 of us in the marching contingent.. guess what, he was pissed at us as we were "behaving like kids" booking into camp and sleeping the whole day, that he decided to enforce some regimental physical training... 8am-10am.. all must play soccer or basketball or run.. and we were all giggling among ourselves laa...i guess im one of the luckiest guys in SAF, to be able to play soccer everyday haha!
but then again, so much time in my hands, wif no one to spend it wif but myself..sigh
