we learnt abt the obedience and humility of Jesus from the passage Philipians 2:5-11
abt Jesus' relationship with God
Jesus, althought he was one wif God, he stripped Himself of all privileges, assumed the guise of a servant, in that He became like men and was born a human being. He lived a selfless, obedient life, and then died a selfless, obedient death, and the worst kind of death-cruxification. From THE MESSAGE, it shows that because of that obedience, God lifted him high and honoured him far beyond anyone or anything, ever, so that all created beings in heaven and on earth-even those long ago dead and buried- will bow in worship before this Jesus Christ, and call out in praise that he is the Master of all, to the glorious honor of God the Father
Similarly, our attitude should be the same as that of Jesus Christ
Just as God exalted Jesus for his humility and obedience, God will also exalt us, if we humble ourselves before God and be obedient to his calling. How does God exalt us? For example, if we are obedient to our parents, our parents will trust us even more and respect our decisions in the future, it's like a chain reaction, where if we trust our parents for their advice for us, they will trust us in return, then there will be less naggings, and the family will be as one. This is one way God will exalt us.
I guess as sons/daughters, we must choose the first step of being obedient towards our parents, although sometimes it's difficult, humility comes from God.
