my lovely dyed locks are gone.
the hairdresser murdered them.
she took 45 mins to complete her mission.
i thought the longer she took to cut my hair, the nicer the outcome
NO.WRONG.
the longer she took, the more mistakes she made.
now i really wanna go Pulau Dayang le. for a week. for my hair to grow back.hurhur..

just came back from my diving trip! i had a blast of time over there, all of us were reluctant to go home :( one guy even said that we should go to sentosa today to slowly recuperate to prevent any "beach lag".. hur hur..
anyway i shall try to recollect all the significant events that happened during the trip, limited to my short term memory with apologies, wont be getting the pictures anytime soon
day 1: Friday, 20th April
-took leave
-went shopping wif may and lionel
-went to church and had a great time jamming, switching among the different instruments
-totally forgot about dinner, rushed down to raffles city when joses called and packed burger king
-rushed down to SRC after tt, and to our surprise, everyone else was late
-the van came at 830pm, instead of 7pm. we were way behind schedule
-bus journey abt 3 hrs, reached a town called Mersing at approx 12MN
-took a 3 1/2 hr boat ride to Pulau Dayang
-didnt manage to catch any sleep
-just gazing at God's creation up above, I could see a gazillion stars out at sea, it was just too amazing le..
-when we reached Pulau Dayang, i was STUNNED.
-the water there was so uber clear, it was clearer than some swimming pools here in Singapore..
-saw so many colourful fishes from the boat already, and I knew something great was in store for us pretty soon
Day 2: Saturday,21st April
-We checked in at 430am, caught some sleep, woke up at 830am for breakfast.
-There were like at least 50 divers waiting for their 1st dive..
-Saw 2 cute NTU girls.. hehe
-Anyway proceeded to our first dive site
-Was really disappointed coz the dive site we went to had not so gd visibility due to the dead corals there.. we only got down to 7m and did basic skills..didnt see much
-went back to shore for lunch, then it was back to the boat for the 2nd dive
-supposed to dive at this other island, Pulau Lang, but when we got there, the boat suddenly veered out into the open sea.. everyone was wondering what happened, why aren't we stopping to jump off for the dive.. we travelled out into the open sea for like another 15 mins.. when we saw this Orange sausage balloon sticking out of the sea. Apparently the captain of the boat spotted the orange balloon and went to check it out.. there were 4 divers floating there, waiting to be rescued.. haha.. scary man.. the current pulled them out into sea like a few kilometres away..thank God they were spotted!
-then we went back to do our 2nd dive, this time we got down to 18m.. saw so many funny looking fishes, too many to describe.. we played wif a sea cucumber as well haha.. didnt noe sea cucumbers could move on their own until that day.. they have this spout at the back to blow air out to move.. came face to face wif sea urchins too.. scary. they were huge spike balls haha..
-after the 2nd dive, we headed back to wait for dinner, there were ppl playing volleyball at the beach, 5 of us decided to challenge them haha.. many girls watching, so we played as if we were pros hahaha.. but it was really fun :)
-then we played beach soccer wif the locals! super fun la, the sand at the beach was so soft, it was quite hard to run on it haha.. some guys said that they would rather play soccer than dive.. hur hur..
-i think the highlight of Day 2 was dinner
-As I joined this dive through Singapore Recreation Club, we had special treatment ahhaa.. the club provided extra stuff for dinner.. like this HUGE FISH that tasted like chicken.. and... *drumroll*.. a few hundred HUGE PRAWNS that tasted like heaven... and there were approx 20 of us? each of us ate like.. 10 or more huge prawns.. and we couldnt finish them..
-imagine.. we ended up playing the zhong ji mi ma game to clear the prawns, the person who guessed the number had to eat it.. hahaa.. then we went on to grosser stuff like parts of the fish.. i got the worst deal.. i had to eat this huge fish eye which tasted like liver+brain+intestines.. but really had a great time bonding wif the other divers..
Day 3: Sunday, 22nd April
-woke up at 630am for the 3rd dive
-we did navigation skills, used a compass to find our way around underwater..
-we saw this really HUGE FISH! it's called the parrot fish.. it had this huge hump on it's forehead.. and it's beak is like that of a parrot... super funny slow moving fish..
parrot fish looks like tt above, but it's the size of a fridge
-on the 4th dive we had our leisure dive ... checked out the whole Dayang Bay underwater for an hour! saw sea turtles! many schools of fish! exotic man! so tempted to ride on one of the turtles hehe..
-set off for Singapore after lunch.. so sad.
-oh the 2 NTU girls were wearing a Brazil and Argentina singlet..
-then the guys were like saying "eh u support Brazil or Argentina?" hahaha..
anyway. thank God for the safety of all the divers! many scary things happened during the dive, like.. on the 2nd dive, when i jumped in from the boat, my oxygen tank came out.. hur hur.. my friend's weight belt fell into the bottom of the sea after he jumped off too.. drank a lot of sea water too..underwater.. which wasnt pleasant..
pulled this picture of Pulau Dayang from the net

sam... we all agreed... ur gonna get a box of vitamin C and a crate of bananas for ur bday.dun complain
anyway, ytd had my first pool dive at SRC, first time handling the scuba gear. i must say it's not as easy as i thought it would be.
firstly, the whole set of gear is ultra heavy, like 30kg-40kg..
i had difficulty breathing with the regulator, too used to breathing through my nose haha. stupid idiot me almost died breathing in water through my nose.
and breathing in compressed air is so uncomfortable.. it makes ur throat really dry and u'll have to swallow saliva constantly.
we did some skills like how to clear water from the regulator underwater, how to remove water that entered the mask.. i think im like one of the few with problems clearing the mask hahaha.. ultra noob. and i was holding my pee in throughout the lesson.. plus breathing in compressed air, i couldnt think straight.
the class ended at eleven.. my goodness. tonight's gonna be round two.. AHHH! sounds torturous hahaha.. but......
the feeling of diving is super shiok i must say, after taking away the negative points above.. the feeling of staying underwater and frolicking around haha.. it almost feels like flying.
anyway, i called yamaha ytd.. they are charging individual saxophone classes at 95 bucks for 4 lessons, half an hour each. gonna pray abt it b4 i go for it.. still open to other sources! but at yamaha they provide u wif a saxophone during the classes, so it's a gd place to start and discover the sexyness of the saxophone hurhur..

busy week ahead..
apart from work, i'm gonna have dive lessons at SRC swimming pool tonight and tues night..
going for NUS medical checkup on wed, then diving theory test at night.
thurs work
fri taking leave :):)
going for a diving trip to Pulau Dayang, leaving Singapore Friday Night.. will be back on Sunday night..
i think travelling to Pulau Dayang (Island West of Malaysia), takes up most of the time in the 3 day trip..
i think the itinerary for Fri's like:
leave Singapore 8pm,
reach Pulau Dayang 330am
Check in and settle down 5am
Wake up at 8am for breakfast
super xiong man..
last fri at cell, the guys were having a great time sharing abt what God's doing in our lives recently. Ian and Joel were both pouring their hearts out on how they felt that their lives were wasted away, not being able to be really really good at ONE thing.. and they encouraged and urged us to pick up something we r passionate about.. it could be anything.. a sport, musical instrument, other hobbies, skills... some wanted to pursue graphic design skills, animation skills, even general knowledge.
for me.. it's my saxophone passion again haha.. gonna be expensive, gonna be really difficult and time consuming.. but worth it :)
at least there's a goal for me to look towards, a target for me to set,
at 30 years of age, I wanna be good enough to perform on stage, good enough to worship God wif the instrument, good enough to be able to influence others who have this similar passion to pursue it.
anyway, hopefully, i will be planning a trip to hk somewhere during the 1st 2 weeks of may.. then end may, i think i'll finally stop working.
june-
-help out in the many church camps coming up
-sam's bday hahahahaha..
-detailed exercise regime to prepare for IPPT
-concentrate on saxophone
july-
slack and prepare for uni muahahaha

ANDY's GONE FOR THREE WEEKSboohoo..
oh well, all guys go through this phase
anyway, have been going for diving theory classes for the past 2 days.. i must say i have mixed feelings abt going for the dives next week haha.. tts because they show every possible danger/accident u can have in diving through the videos.. and it's a really tedious, disciplined sport.
the only thing tt im looking forward to is the marine life underwater, and the sat night bbq buffet hahahaa.. i dun think i'll enjoy lugging the heavy oxygen tank around :(
there's gonna be swimming pool dives next monday and tues, and a theory exam next wed.. there goes my weeknights again, and i'm gonna be missing bighooha and jyc meetings, gonna be missing cell and yc next sunday too..
pray that I won't lose focus on God
anyway here's a pic from sentosa last week :)

had a really crazy dream last night.. which seemed really familiar.. i think i dreamt of it a few years ago..
anyway.. in this dream, i was at this condo wif my "supposed gf" in the dream, and the whole dream is abt being chased by this huge flying creature..
in the dream, i could do things like dropping from 10th storey to the 1st using the balcony railings and dropping off one storey at the time.. felt quite gd actually hahaha.. like some superhero
i think both of us were being chased in the whole dream, many near deaths, she almost got caught, then at the last part, both of us were separated or something liddat.. can't really rem. haha..
i really didn't wanna wake up from this dream, no matter how scary it was, coz God finally put her in my dreams after so long, ahahhaa.. if my mom didnt pull me out of my bed, i would have missed work today
hehe..
and this dream reminded me of the song by Enrique iglesias
rem tany "I could be your hero babe"
hahahha..

You are seeking an affectionate relationship, offering fulfilment and happiness. You are capable of powerful emotional enthusiasm. Deep down, you are a kind loving person, always helpful and willing to adapt yourself if necessary to realise the bond of affection that you desire. But you need the same consideration and understanding from others and it is this need that will sometimes hold you back... so let go, trust and you may pleasantly surprised at what happens.
You are feeling very disillusioned at this time and you feel that you are being left out of things. You know - or you think you know - what you want, but you seem unable to exert the effort to achieve your objectives. As a consequence, you are feeling left out and neglected. You would like to be afforded greater security and fewer problems.
Nothing seems to be going right for you and you are thwarted every way you turn. You are not at all happy with the situation but it would appear that there is very little that you can do about it at this time. Sit back and let the situation take its course, because at this time you feel that there is nothing you can do to change whatever needs to be changed.
You are an emotional, sincere and impressionable individual experiencing frustration and unnecessary stress. You are carried away by other people's enthusiasm and looking for that idealised relationship, be it in a business or personal situation, which you are able to share with a mutual depth of understanding. You have lowered your defences in the past and you have been hurt, so you are now extremely wary of being exploited. You are still ready to trust people on the condition that they are prepared to offer you proof of their sincerity.
You are inclined to be too trusting and you feel that you need to be on your guard against the possibility that your endeavours and actions may be misunderstood. Too often you have been taken advantage of and you have been mentally abused. Now you are seeking a relationship which can provide peace of mind, where you can be yourself and not have the need to put on a false front.

i have just gone through a week of non-stop fun-filled activities!
wed's jyc meeting was great :) so many ideas pouring in from everyone, really excited on what's ahead for jyc in the next few months! learn new characters in the bible, jyc camp! woohoO!
maundy thurs:
decided to take a day's off from work
met up wif benw during his lunch hour, went for lunch and shopping wif pangmeimei.. although i didnt manage to find anything to my fancy (my polo tee shop at far east disappeared :( ), but it was still a great time smelling the air of orchard again.. and.. may and I saw this really really really really really really pretty girl with really really really big eyes! chinese version of mandy moore? i dunno.. hahha. but it was hilarious how we walked past the shop she was in like 3 times hehe just to get a glimpse of her!! hehe..
anyway met up wif the east latecomers a few hours later.. and we headed down to meet sharon, then to church for maundy thurs, this year's really different from the other maundy thurs services! got to walk through the events/choices/feelings Jesus went through before He was crucified and risen again..
fri:
woke up early as it was a day at SENTOSA! woohoo! was really looking forward to a tanning session! hahaa.. thanks Sam for organising! soccer/volleyball/ultimate frisbee/catching up wif ppl/free beehoon - priceless
headed down to hv nydc for lapz surprise bday dinner at night! lionel and I were totally shagged out by then.. haha.. but it was great catching up wif my previous cell grp mates :)
sat:
woke up late and stoned at home pretty much
headed down to church at night for a stayover
SUPER FUN STAYOVER!
boggle/bridge were starters
the highlight was CRANIUM TURBO! it was like so much more fun than the times I played at bintan.. i guess playing wif a grp of much younger ppl just made it easier for everyone to let loose and go crazy haha.. especially the charades portion of the game! plus the puppets! woots!
and i just realised how a mere cockroach can cause a person wif a sprained ankle to run, and 2 people to scream like there's no tmr.. and a few others cramping with laughter.. i will never forget that night.. hehe
downside of the stayover was the lack of sleep, i dun think anyone slept well that night
sun: we woke up at 5am to set up the 7th floor for sunrise service
tired and sleepy, we still managed to set up the place early, everyone's doing their part to serve God no matter how tough it can become
went for macs breakfast after sunrise service.. i think i can still remember the menacing look from yingnuo when i asked her at the cashier how come she wasn't having the happy meal.. hahaha... and andy was going on and on abt wanting to have hotdog meal at macs -.- andy without sleep
prayed for andy after easter service :) another person going to serve the country, another person losing his hair, another person with a new journey ahead of him! TAKE CARE ANDY! CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU BOTAK WITH DARK GLASSES! hurhur
captain's ball was really great too, as there were fewer ppl present, we were able to work out the control of the game as a team, which was what we needed finally.
another tiring week ahead for me
gonna attend diving classes on tues to thurs nights
going diving next weekend :):):):) cant wait!

What does your handwriting say about YOU?The results of your analysis say:
You plan ahead, and are interested in beauty, design, outward appearance, and symmetry.
You are a shy, idealistic person who does not find it easy to have relationships, especially intimate ones.
You are affectionate, passionate, expressive, and future-oriented.
You are a talkative person, maybe even a busybody!
You enjoy life in your own way and do not depend on the opinions of others.
