there's wi-fi in the place we're staying at right now in china :)found some time to blog abt my trip so far :)
it has been an exciting one so far, especially for me ..
took silkair flight MI912 to kunming, a 4 hrs flight.
when it got there, the weather was like WHOA! so much cooler than singapore! not too hot not too cold..
just for the record, 4 of us carried about 12 bags + 2 boxes in total.. didnt think it was possible, but miraculously we managed.
we were waiting for or bags at the conveyor belt.. one by one our bags came out.. after a while, the bags stopped coming.. everyone got their bags.. but MINE DIDNT COME OUT! AHHH! haha.. later on, we found out that my bag was still in Singapore due to some glitch. oh well.. i can only get my bag on tues.. kinda a new experience to survive without any extra clothes, toiletries, bible.. had to buy new underwear hahaha. and the brand was ANUO.. HAHAHHAHAAH! oh well.
we walked around, i bought a backpack for S$30 :) the rest bought jackets for a cheap price too! after shopping, we got to the bus station ready for a long bus trip to zd. it was a sleeper bus, everyone had their own beds throughout the trip. the beds were like half the size of a single bed. aha.. it was supposed to be a 12 hr bus ride.. but the bus broke down after like 8 hrs.. took 4 hrs to repair it.. so we ended up having 16 hrs of bus journey.. but i got to sleep like 14 hrs of the 16.. hahhahhaa..
anyway we finally got to the lodge. it's a really really beautiful and comfortable place.. the food is great! carol's desserts are the best! she has two really beautiful golden retrievers as well! shall upload the photos when i get back!
now waiting for my luggage to return.. then we shall go hiking up in the mountains hehe :)
oh btw, we are at an altitude of abt 3000feet? not sure.. but I'm breathless by just walking up a flight of steps.. need to adjust haha.. other interesting stuff.. Ian bought 35 Dvds when we got to the dvd shop on the first day.. stunned. ; china's bubble tea is nice :) and cheap..
